Definition

AI risk treatment selects and implements controls to address AI service risks.

Why It Matters

AI risk treatment is where governance becomes operational. A risk assessment without treatment does not reduce risk. In WSM, risk is reduced by improving services, so AISM risk treatment must produce service changes, controls, evidence, review routines, and corrective actions.

Role in WSM

Advisor Guidance

A Management Advisor should recommend treatment actions when risk levels exceed appetite, controls are absent, evidence is weak, residual risk is unapproved, incidents recur, or HRSM/DISM inheritance is missing.
